Our Mission

The Southern California Military History Group was established to preserve, and publicize the rich history of the citizen soldiers of Southern California. This history begins with the Spanish soldiers who occupied the Presidio of San Diego and protected the Mission San Diego de Alcala from hostile natives.

It runs unbroken for 250 years to today's California Army National Guard units fighting the War on Terror in Afganistan and Iraq.
